Overview

Everest Base Camp constitutes two base camps situated at opposite polesof North and South. Southern Base Camphappens to be in Nepal while the Northern is located in Tibet. Base camp at theSouthern part is the most sought-after and desired location to start off theEverest Base Camp expedition.
Next, to heaven, Nepal, is a place comprising of gracious symmetry, lushgreen nature, stunning peaks and much more. Kathmandu, the capital city ofNepal, is a home to many eye-captivating places such as - Durbar Square,Kathmandu Valley, Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath,Thamel and other adorable sites. Apart from having fascinating temples andmonasteries, Nepal is accounted for 10 UNESCO sites in the world.
The Everest Base Camp contains the most number of furrows and groovesduring the trek. This zig-zag pavement throughout, in one of the spectacularlandscape, is a treat to all the adventurists out there. Talking about the route,it eventually begins from Lulka moving towards Gogkyo Ri standing tall at17,575 ft, highest site of this whole trek. Gogkyo Ri, situated in the KhumbaVillage is yet again a very mesmerizing and highest settlement around theglobe. From this site, one can view the elevated Mt. Everest of the HimalayanRange.
During the trek, one can hire a porter on the way to take care of theluggage and a guide, which are probably available at each halting point. Brief Itinearary
Day 01: Land at Kathmandu

As soon as you decide to make it to EBC (Everest Base Camp) without wastingmuch time, fly down to the capital city of Nepal to accomplish the journey inyour head. Deplane at Katmandu Airport and march towards the hotel assigned.After taking some rest at the hotel, move out and get some sight-seeing in oneof the ancient towns of Nepal. Day 02: Fly down to Lukla and hike towards Phakding

The real expedition begins from here. Lukla, elevated at an altitude of9,200 ft, is placed in the most charming valley of Nepal, Khumbu region. Afterdeplaning at Lukla move around a little and take the picturesque sight of LuklaValley. You will be able to witness one of the best and far-reaching views ofthe valley. Moving on, you need to descend towards Dudh Kosi river valley, atan altimeter of 1,500 ft and later towards the village of Phakding. Thisvillage is one of the UNESCO heritage located in the striking region of Khumbu.The hiking gets concluded after 3 long hours, covering about whole 8kilometers.

Day 03: Move from Phakding towards Namche Bazaar

One needs to march from Dudh Kosi river valley to Monjo and then towardsNamche Bazaar.On this day one needs to muster up a little more energy as youmust reach an altitude of 11,156 ft. The distance needed to get covered on thisvery day is about 10. 5 km. The later trail moves into the forests of Zamfuteand Tok Tok.Moving on we inclined towards Chomoa village and later to Monjo,just north to Phakding. This topsy-turvy trek gets concluded within 6 hours ofthe day. The overnight stay takes place in the tea houses.

Day 4: Day at Namche Bazaar

Namche, the most expensive place in Nepal, is the trading hub for most ofthe Nepalese officials and tourism business owners. Situated in the Khumburegion, Namche comes under the Zone of Sagarmatha.While trekking one is goingto notice an elevated Everest right in front of them by reaching the Sherpasettlements.Namche Bazaar has got an airport within its landscape but is nolonger in use. Trekkers need to halt and take an overview of the much-renownedplace of Nepal. There also happens to be the museum of ancient time, throughwhich you can easily make out the fine art of the Nepalese living in thatparticular decade.The night stay happens to be at the guest house.

Day 5: Set off to Tengboche

After a warm stay in the guest house, one needs to get freshen-up and havethe morning meals to hike forward.On this day you will see the spellboundwildlife of Nepal. Beginning to this day is an easy brisk walk as you tend tomove on, you are going to encounter some great wildlife birds and animals onthe way. Himalayan Thar, Daphne (national bird of Nepal), Musk deer, Antelopesand other wonderful creatures. This sight happens to be only at Shanasa. Wakingpast Shanasa, you move into the steep slopes of Tengboche, which is a religiousplace for Buddhists.

Day 6: Mobilize from Tengboche to Dingboche.

Set your feet early in the morning to attain the desired landscape,Dingboche. The day will comprise of the flora of the Tengboche terrain.Betulaceous tree, fig, Retama raetam, Swap honeysuckle and others. Themonastery located at Tengpoche is world famous for Buddhists having Rinpoche astheir abbot.Ama Dablam, the infamous peak takes us gently towards Dingbochewhich is rich in flora and fauna.Other such peaks that are visible to a nakedeye are Mt. Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse. If you want to have a larger andbetter view, you should take a route towards Pangboche taking along thebinoculars. The night stay, as usual, takes place in the guest house around.

Day 7: Day at Dingboche

Dingboche, located at Chukung valley of Khumbu village, is a famousassimilation halt during the EBC. This place is highly reliable over thetourism as it includes the lodges and guest houses scattered all over the area.
On this day you are going to assimilate yourself for the other day of thetrek. The landscape of Dingboche is at an altitude of 14,470 ft. The placecomprises of one of the six highest peaks and highest situated billiard spots.Satellite Internet has been facilitated to the tourists at Dingboche. One canhave a look around the terrain and hike on to catch the patched peaks ofNangkartshang, which is at an elevation of 16,672 ft, including Lhotse, Makalu,and Cho Oyu (three of the six highest peaks in the world).Stay for the nightwill be arranged in the guest house.

Day 08: Pave way towards Lobuche

After you are assimilated to the high-altitude weather, on waking up earlyin the morning, have your breakfast in the guest house and be ready to get someof the enthralling views today. You will have an easygoing brisk walk over thisterrain as most of the part of the landscape is either flat or having a gentleinclination. Reach Mani prayer stupa on the way and move forward to arrive atthe lower village called the Pheriche village. Witness some stunning scenes ofthe Mt. Tawache, Ama Dablam, and Pokalde elevated at 18,996 ft apart from thegreat wall of Nuptse towards Northeast.
Once you reach Pheriche you need to move a little forward and descendtowards Thugla, home for tea houses other than Lobuche. Take a pleasant walktowards the end of Thugla and arrive at Lobuche. Overnight stay would be at theguest house.

Day 09: Trek towards Gorakshep from Lobuche and later to EBC

An epic climb to EBC takes place on this day after completion of 7 hours,to be precise. You are going to encounter the most awaited part of the journeytoday. From Lobuche take a walk to grassy fields after which you cover somesteep slopes on the way. During the trek, few ice-ponds and icebergs arevisible to you, over the lowered glacier -Khumbu glacier.
Walking past some stone-cold dunes, you are going to reach Gorakshep aftercovering up the gentle slope moving into the same village.
Once you reach Gorakshep you need to have a guide along as the way to EBCkeeps changing with each passing day. This happens due to the shift of glaciersevery night. As you move forward as assisted by Sherpa, you view the mostastonishing scene of all - Everest Base Camp. The feeling of reaching this spotis beyond words which can't be described.

Day 10: Footslog to Kalapatthar and trudge towards Pheriche

On this day you are going to witness Kala Patthar, the most complex part ofthe whole trek. After you move out of the guest house, you need to reach analtimeter of 18,540 ft to have a panoramic view of Kala Patthar. once you movefrom Gorakshep, it will hardly take 3 hours to arrive at Kala Patthar . fromthe very beautiful spot of Kala Patthar you can have a look over the entirerange of glaciers including the most popular Mt. Everest. Being at that spot,looking over the gigantic mountain closely, one gets a feeling as if he/shemust have covered up the distance to Mt. Everest.
As this mesmerizing scene gets out of focus after stepping down, you musthead back towards Gorakshep and from there to Pheriche. The day gets concludedafter 7 hours of trekking. Overnight stay happens​ to be in the guest room.

Day 11: Revert to Namche Bazaar from Pheriche

he day starts off with the morning meals and ends up in the guest room atNamche Bazaar. As you reached your desired destination yesterday now you needto get back to where this notable journey began. From Pheriche descenddownwards to arrive at Namche Bazaar. This day includes witnessing of the greatHimalayan range again. You are going to a pleasurable experience whilereturning as much effort is not needed to reach Namche Bazaar. By the time itsdusk, stroll through the market and have a warm overnight stay at the guesthouse.

Day 12: Namche Bazar to Phakding to Lukla

Once you are donewith the morning meals, head towards the busy and occupied town-market ofNamche Bazaar. As this downtown is in the center it facilitates both the needsof civilians and the trekkers. This place had been a salt trading center inearly 90's. You can halt at the market and take a look at the wooden carved artand handicrafts made by the locals here.the Sagarmatha National Park is one ofthe tourist attractions near Namche Bazaar. there also happens to be a museumknown as the Sherpa Muesuem which gives a glimpse of Buddhist culture, shrinesand about the teachings of medicinal plants of Tibet.Once you get notifiedabout the market, move trek towards Phakding which lies just ahead NamcheVillage. This trek is again a very pleasant and easy walk slopingdownwards.While you move on you see breathtaking jog falls, forest greenery andgorgeous glaciers on the way. Now as you steep a bit down you reach thestarting spot of EBC, Lukla. Have a stay for overnight in the guest lodge andmove towards the capital, Kathmandu, the next day.

Day 13: Navigate to Kathmandu

he flight towardsKathmandu depends wholly and solely on the weather conditions. One must get upearly and head towards the boarding spot. If the weather would be windy, theflight gets delayed for some time keeping your safety in mind. As soon as thesky clears up and the gushy winds halt, the flight gets ready to take off. Asyou board the plane you are promptly going to see the lovely glacierssurrounding you, making you feel as if you are still on top of it.

Day 14: Bid adieu to Nepal

As you reachKathmandu, have your day well-spent here by having a view of ancientmonasteries, temples, scripted art and other stuff. Buy some artistry thing ofNepal so that it reminds you of an epic and amazing journey that you just camefrom. Taste some local meals around and click some pictures for a memory. Bidadieu to Nepal by boarding the plane at Tribhuvan International airport andhave a picturesque view from the plane of those gigantic heap of mountains andsettlements that take a shape of matchsticks placed under the roof of clouds.
