BRANDY NALA – HEMIS TREK

Overview

Ladakh- also known as "Little Tibet" has a undying beauty and influence of Tibetan folklore rooted to it's culture. This wondrous place looks splendid throughout the year due to the presence of alluring valleys, captivating snow-peaks, kind-hearted people and what not. The place is also well-known as "the land of high passes" , because of it's unlimited offerings to the adventurists that love fly down to this place.

Brief Itinearary
Day 1: Arrive at Manali

Begin this fascinating​ trip to Hemis by commencing the tour from Manali itself. Reach Manali and take rest in the former hours of the day and pave your way towards the lit bazaar of Manali- Mall Road. This place looks beautiful during evening. Buy an art piece from this local bazaar to lock it in your memories forever. Revert to Hotel and post your dinner, go to sleep.

D2: Manali to Sarchu to Brandy Nala

On this day you need to travel from Manali to Sarchu and later to Brandy Nala, the starting point of this expedition. Drive to Sarchu from Manali and further on move towards Brandy Nala. You need to move past Baralacha pass elevated at 4950 m above the sea level. Overnight Camp at the landscape of Brandy Nala.

D3: Brandy Nala to Jukta

Post an appetizing breakfast start you trek to reach at Jukta. Ascend from Brandy Nala to Jukta which will be a short alpinism. Spend your daytime at Jukta and pitch your tents within it's landscape. Stay there overnight.

D4: Jukta to Morangla base

Today your ​camping site will be at one of the passes that is situated at 3900 m above the sea level. This pass is known as Morang La Base. Trek towards Morang La Base from Jukta thus traversing the River Bans and stay at the Basecamp of Morang La.

D5:Morang La base - Morang La - Lun

The day will witness the trekking in a topsy-turvy curve. First you need to ascend uphill towards Morang La standing at an altimeter of 5300m and later on move through unique valleys to reach the desired spot for the day -Lun, which is at an altitude of 4100 m. Pitch your tents within Lun and stay there overnight.

D6:Lun to Lungmo Che

Encounter a prominent river and a tribal people of Tibet on this day. You need to tramp a small settlement of Sangth village thus moving into Lungmo Che which is at an elevation of 4000m above the sea level. Overnight stay will be at Lungmo Che camping site

D7:Lungmo Che to Yar-La to Dat

Post you morning meals, begin your trek towards Yar -La pass. After reaching at Yar-La pass, trudge towards​ Dat that is situated at an altimeter of 4200m. You can have an illustrious view of the infamous plains of Rupshu from Yar La pass. Overnight stay will be at the landscape of Dat.

D8: Dat to Sorra

After you get done with your meals, tramp towards the river of Sorra Chu thus crossing a small river of Dat Chu. You need to pave your way towards Sorra, moving through the woods just before Sorra. Overnight stay will be at Sorra thus elevated at 4950m.

D9: Sorra to Zalung Karpo La to Mid Camp

Post a tempting breakfast, perform an​ epic climbing to Zalung Karpo La that is situated at an altimeter of 4200m. Later trek to another Mid- camp which is placed at an open valley , search for a perfect campsite and stay there overnight.

D10: Mid-camp to Langtang Chu

Today you need to ascend at the elevation of 4750 m. You need to move past some small settlements and streams before you reach at Langtang Chu. Set up your camp at the same terrain of Langtang Chu. The whole will get concluded after 7-8 hours approximately. Stay overnight at the campsite.

D11: Langtang Chu to Nimaling

Post you inviting meals, you need to trudge towards the landscape of Nimaling. Traverse through twin
escarpment and later past Konka Wangpo pass at 5090m of elevation. Further you need to trek towards the high grazing land of Nimaling, thus descending into 4700m of altitude above sea level.

D10: Explore Nimaling

This day is totally reserved for you to explore and get assimilated to Nimaling. Nimaling is elevated at a height of 4700m from where you will explore Nimaling from base to apex. This place also serves as a gateway to two of the most popular expeditions -Markha Valley Trek and Mt. Kang Yatze mountaineering. Explore the surroundings of Nimaling till its dusk. Revert to campsite and stay there overnight.

D11:Nimaling to Kongmarula to Chogdo

Today you are are going to reach the terrain of Chogdo. Before you descend into the valley of Chogdo, you need to move past Kongmaru La pass that stands elevated at 5100m. Later you will reach at the broad valley of Chukirmo. After you get through confined valleys and abyss you arrive at the canyon of Chogdo. Stay overnight at the campsite.

D12:Chogdo to Shang to Hemis to Leh

Perform alpinism towards Shang Sumdo at 3678 m. Visit the popular monastery of Hemis and witness the magnificent architecture of this Gompa. From Hemis monastery have a drive towards Leh. Stay there overnight and leave for your hometown by tomorrow.

D13: Departure from Leh

Today you will leave from the capital city- Ladakh in the former hours of the day and pave your way towards airport and fly back whilst moving above glaciers.

    Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

    Pay heed to the guidelines given by trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.

    Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating products are prohibited during this trek.

    Avoid trekking during the nights.

    Consult with a physician if you are fit to undertake the trek.

    The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.

    The horses carries only 10kg weight/trekker; be wise with your packing.

    Experience of any high altitude trek at least 1 trek

    · The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45minutes without a stress.
    · The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
    · Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.
