LIKIR- LAMAYURU TREK

Overview

The landscape of Ladakh is different and perfectly symmetrical then anywhere else in the whole world. The love for adventures within the ranges of Himalayas and Karakoram makes it all a worthwhile journey. This alpinism from Likir to Lamayuru is all about valleys, villages, rocky peaks and monasteries. Do get going to witness the untouched natural beauty of Ladakh.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Leh

Reach Leh in the morning hours of the day and pave your way towards the hotel allotted to you. Take rest in your rooms and enjoy the local attractions of Bazaar by the evening. Revert to Hotel and after having meals take a nap.

Day 2:Leh- Likir

Post your morning meals, trudge forward to the well-known landscape of Liker. You need to move past Spituk situated at lower Ladakh region. Visit the historic monastery of Spituk. Reach Liker by the dusk and stay there overnight.

Day 3:Likir - Yangthang

You need to be extra fit to traverse the crossings during the trail. The day gets over within 6 hours as the trek for today is easy and scenic too. You need to move from the famous monastery of Likir to Changasta La. A small village along with a stream is right in front of your eyes called as Phobe La. This valley stands at an altitude of 3839 m. further you are going to arrive at the valley of Yangthang. The overnight stay will be at the �Yangthang campsite.

Day 4:Yangthang - Hemis Shukpachan

Move towards Hemis Shukapachen via Tsermangche on this day. This trek has acquired its name as baby trek due to its easy gradients. From the village of Yangthang , move into Tsermangchen La, standing tall at 12,303 ft. The trek takes place for about 3 hours thus covering 8 km in a day. Take rest before descending into the Hemis Shukapachen. Streams, fields and the mountain heaps is what this place looks like collectively. Overnight stay will be within this landscape.

Day 5:Hemis Shukpachan - Tingmogang

Trek to Tingmogang village on ​this day.Move into the most beautiful landscape of Mehtab La and later descend into the valley of Ang. From the Hemis Shukapachen, ascend into Mehtab La, standing at an elevated height of 3750 m.Move from Ang to Temisgam and later to Tingmogang , our desired. Temisgam is a place comprising of a palace and monastery within its vicinity. The castle is known as the Tingmogang situated over the shores of the river Indus. Visit the infamous village of Tingmogang and stay there overnight.

Day 6:Tingmogang - Khaltse- Drive to Lamayuru

Post your tempting meals you will witness the scenery and monasteries of Ladakh and also the compassionate people who's hospitality will make you feel lively and you will enjoy the picturesque view of the landscape while moving past Bongbong La. Now as your trek gets concluded within 4 hours, drive towards the most visited monastery called the Lamayuru Monastery with an epic moonland scenery. Stay at Lamayuru and get going towards Leh by tomorrow.

Day 7:Lamayuru - Leh

Today you will arrive at the capital-Leh after you are done with your morning meals. Begin your journey from Lamayuru to Leh. En route visit the captivating area of Alchi Choskar which is popular for the art of wooden frescoes, woodcarvings and stucco. As you reach Leh stay at the hotel allotted to you

Day 8: Departure from Leh

Get departed from the land of High passes - Ladakh and get going towards your hometown with the long-lasting friendships and memories in your hearts. Bid adieu to Ladakh as you take off from Leh.

When your transfer is done, please e-mail us a confirmation mail with your transfer details, so that we can secure your reservation efficiently and make further arrangements to logistics.
In the event of cancellation of your booking due to any avoidable / unavoidable circumstances at your end, we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive the advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: -

    As adventurous as it may seem, the trek can get dangerous at times if you are not precautionary enough. So it is advisable for a trekker to gear up with all the significant things such as : Glares/Glasses for the eyes, keeping in mind the snowy and windy weather one faces during the trip.
    Snowshoes, often known as crampons, with a perfect grip,
    Facemask for the face.
    Thermals and warm clothes for trekking in minus temperature.
    Medical kits are a must.
    And most importantly, get well acquainted with the ice layer conditions. It's a lot better to have a guide along. The safety lies in the numbers, larger the group, better the safety.

    Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

    Pay heed to the guidelines given by trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.

    Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating products are prohibited during this trek.

    Avoid trekking during the nights.

    Consult with a physician if you are fit to undertake the trek.

    The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.

    The horses carries only 10kg weight/trekker; be wise with your packing.

    Experience of any high altitude trek at least 1 trek

    · The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45minutes without a stress.
    · The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
    · Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.
