RUMTSE-TSO MORIRI TREK

Overview

Ladakh has been admired throughout the world for its praiseworthy beauty. This place has fascinated many travelers because of the beauty that it has been bestowed with. Enthralling adventures, for instance, Mountaineering, Trekking, motorbike riding, River Rafting, Wildlife Exploration etc is what this place offers you. Ladakh includes gushy streams, charming meadows, high cliffs​ capped with snow, lovely rivers and unparalleled beauty of the valleys. En route Tso moriri, you are going to view the settlements of Rumtse, Kyamar, Pangunagu, Nuruchan and Tsomoriri. You are going to witness the majestic monasteries, captivating lakes, tribal people of Ladakh and the Wild creatures on the way. During the trail, you need to get at the highest altitude ​lake of Changthang, which is at an altimeter of 14,846 ft.

Brief Itinearary
Day 01:Arrive at Leh

Fly down to Leh to begin this alpinism within the landscape and of Ladakh- the Land of high passes. You have to get assimilated to the changing weather conditions of Leh. Catch some sightseeing of the hustle bustle at the local markets. You can purchase a little piece of art from the market of Leh to recall this beguiling trip. You can try goody and the local cuisines for a change and exploration. Overnight stay will be in the hotel rooms.

Day 02:Leh-Rumtse

Today you need to move from Leh and end your alpinism at Rumtse. Drive to �Rumtse standing at �altitude �of 4095m. The whole days gets concluded by covering 76 Kms. This drive will be of around 2 hours thus making an overnight stay at Rumtse.

Day 03:Rumtse-Kyamar(trek)

You need to reach Kyamar today passing through streams, River and valleys. Arrive at Tourist Bungalow and later descend to right thus arriving at an army settlement. To your right you are going to witness the majestic river and valley which needs to be crossed. After crossing the river, you are going to be at a trail along with the stream at your left. Later you are going to be at the campsite of Kyamar today which is elevated at an altitude of 4383m. Stay overnight near the tribal settlement.

Day 04:Kyamar-Kumur la -Tisaling

This day you are going to witness the flowery trail throughout, till you reach at the landscape of kumur La. The day's alpinism takes a bit more effort than other days within this expedition. As you reach the top, the trail gets divided into two more trail. One of them leads to the famous lake of tsokar and another one to the new pass of Mandalchan La at 4996m. The topsy-turvy inclinations will take you to the awesome valley of Tisaling. Overnight stay will be at the same campsite.

D5:Tisaling-Pangunagu

Post a tempting breakfast, your trail for today begins from Tisaling, thus moving into Shibuk La and further to Tsokar . The trek is somewhat easy and having less inclinations. As you reach Shibuk La, wait a moment and enjoy the picturesque view of the Tsokar Lake. From here move towards the valley of Rupshu. Later descend from an altitude of 5016m to Pangunagu which is elevated at an altimeter of 4430m. Overnight stay will be at the campsite of Pangunagu.

D6:Pangunagu-Nuruchan

Today you will find tranquility by the shores of Tsokar Lake. Walk alongside the lake for about 2 hours, and take a glance at this hypothetical spot for a moment. The place includes many migratory birds, agricultural fields, wild creatures etc. The trek gets concluded within 4-5 hours of easy trekking. The campsite for the night is pitched within the landscape of Nuruchan and stay there overnight besides the bay of Lake.

Day 07:Nuruchan-Rachungkaru

Trekking from Nuruchan to RachungKaru is a short alpinism taking place from an altitude of 4500m to RachungKaru standing at an altimeter of 4668m �via Horlam Kongka La which is elevated at a height of 4712m. Cross the river and reach Horlam Kongka La and later on cross the stream and descend into the desired destination of RachungKaru. Overnight stay will be at the campsite.

Day 08:Rachungkaru-Gyama Lhoma

As you wake up, finish your morning meals and head towards the desired spot for the day, Gyama Lhoma. From RachungKaru, perform an epic climbing to reach Kyamayur La standing tall at 5125m. The alpinism will take around 2 hours to reach this pass. Later descend �into Gyama La which is at an altimeter of 5100m. Cross the twin rivers and finally arrive at Gyama Lhoma, where you need to pitch your tents at the campsite.

Day 09:Gyama Lhoma-Korzok(Tso moriri lake)

Today you will witness the ideal spot known as Tsomoriri Lake. This lake is too charming and deep blue water within it's surface makes it more mesmerising. While you move from the Karzok pass climbing upwards you reach at the apex from where you can have a paranomic view of the adjacent peaks and the Karzok village that lies just below the peak. Descend down and reach Karzok village by the end of the day. You can even trudge towards Karzok Phu if you are left with some extra days. Pitch your tents within the landscape of Karzok village and spend the night there.

Day 10: Tso moriri-Leh

Today you need to cover around 260km to reach the city beautiful- Leh. Starting from Tsomoriri, take a drive from Tsomoriri to Leh. It takes almost 6 hours to arrive at Leh and get along with the hustle bustle of the city. You can catch some sightseeing on the same day or take rest after your arrival at Leh.

Day 11: Departure from Leh

With all the memories of this captivating alpinism, fly down to your hometown and watch Ladakh from the window panes as it bids farewell to you.

    Rumtse Tsomoriri Trekking Rumtse is situated 70 Kms east of Leh, the starting point of this trek. Rupshu Valley lies sandwiched between Ladakh in the north, Tibet in the east and Zanskar in the west. It is a part of the Changthang plateau and is characterized by high arid plains, nomads, high pasturelands, snow-capped peaks and beautiful high altitude azure-blue lakes, the largest being Tsokar & Tso Moriri at 4,500 m. /

    Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

    Pay heed to the guidelines given by trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.

    Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating products are prohibited during this trek.

    Avoid trekking during the nights.

    Experience of any high altitude trek at least 1 trek

    · The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45minutes without a stress.
    · The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
    · Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.
