The region of Ladakh has acquired the attention of many adventurists all over the globe due to its well-acquainted trekking sites and sightseeing. One such trek is the Markha Valley Trek, located in the Himalayan region of Ladakh, moving alongside the River Markha. One doesn't just happen to take the trekking fun but also gets a chance to see ancient script
One has to fly down to Leh, Ladakh in order to start off with this much exciting Trek. After your arrival at Leh get comfortable in your assigned Hotel room/Guest Room and later stroll through the busy city market of Leh to get acclimatize with the higher altitude climate. In case you have missed something from your trekking gear, you can buy it here but it's better to be on the safer side. The stay during the night is precisely going to be at your hotel room.
You shall be advised of the current situation, weather and other conditions of the tour before departure. *In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled or change of dates might happen, and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your domestic/international flight, we recommend organizing your trip at least three months in advance. Please contact us for more information. Payment for booking your experience: The fee can be paid by Online Bank Transfer(NEFT)/Cheque deposit/ Demand draft. Instruction for payment will be forwarded along with your booking confirmation details via email. The Markha Valley trek which has another nick name, tea house trek because here one can expect parachute tents accommodation at most of the villages on the way. An arid cold desert trekking area which offers the best views of Ladakh and Zanskar Ranges have admirers worldwide. You will come to see the 21000 feet Kang Yaste and 20086 feet Stok Kangri peaks also while you embark on this trek. Hemis National Park and Gandala La and Kongmaru La are the promising attractions one gets while taking Markha Valley trek route. Another factor that makes this trek amusing is the waist deep river crossing which helps us to cross Markha River to reach the trails to Buddhist villages and rock structures. Markha Valley is in very close proximity to Leh and every traveller comes to Leh can easily find the way to Markha and do the trek. Your initial two days of the Markha Valley trekking will be spent for acclimatization as it is vital for a healthy trip ahead. In the meanwhile unravel monasteries, museum, fort, the local market place and Leh Palace. Cross over Ganda La (4800 m) and arrive at the winsome Markha Village that is laced with green fields and willow trees and has barren mountains in the backdrop. Other thrills include camping beside a gurgling stream, getting the stunning view of Kang Yatse Peak and more. Till the final day, there is something to revel in every step of the way.
.Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes,
.Pay heed to the guidelines given by trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience,
.Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating products are prohibited during this trek,
.Avoid trekking during the nights,
.Consult with a physician if you are fit to undertake the trek,
.Do not litter in the local sites or campsites,
.Experience of any trek at least 1 trek,
· The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45minutes without a stress.
· The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
.Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above,
