Brief Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Srinagar

As you board the convenience according to your suitability towards Srinagar, get going to the hotel that has been assigned to you. Get well acquainted with the climatic conditions of the Srinagar city. Reserve this day for taking rest so that you feel more energetic and enthusiastic for the later part of the trip.

Day 02: Assimilation day at Srinagar

On this day you need to get assimilated into the weather situations of Srinagar. You can stroll through the central Market- Lal Chowk and purchase a gift of art too for your loved ones. You can wander around the Downtown and the other sites such as Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens of Nishat, Shalimar and Harwan. If you are an adventurist, you can go for an unusual and exciting experience like Skiing within the landscape of Kashmir.Overnight stay in your hotels and get mentally prepared for the motorbike expedition for the following day.

Day 03: Srinagar-Kargil via Zojila pass

After finishing your breakfast in the morning hours of the dayhead towards the sector of Kargil. The traveling distance from Srinagar to Kargil sector is about 294 km which concludes by the end of 6 hours. You are going to move past Zojila pass which is at an altitude of 11,574 ft. This pass is the second highest point on Leh- Srinagar artery. You are going to witness the beautiful landscape of Ladakh during the trail over the Grand Trunk Road. As you arrive in Kargil of the state, get into your hotels and take rest for the remaining part of the day.

Day 04: Kargil- Leh

Post your brunch, kickstart your travel and reach the largest town of Ladakh- Leh. It takes a maximum of 8 hours to cover up the distance from Kargil- Leh. Drive through the longest National Highway, NH-1 to reach the desired destination. Green mountains snow-capped all over the range, the clouds encircling the Cyprus trees that are placed over the peaks and the rocky terrains is what the journey would be all about. You are even going to see the marvelous rivers through the trip- Zanskar and Indus along with the infamous Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pather Sahib, and Lamayuran Moon Land. You can even visit Basgo Palace and Lamayuru monastery which is one of the ancient monasteries of Ladakh on the way. Another popular site among the tourists is the Giant Buddha at Mulbek. Once you reach Leh overnight have a stay in the hotel at Leh.

Day 05: Leh- Nubra Valley

Once you are done with the morning meals, head on the trail descending into the valley of Nubra. Nubra valley was once the popular route for trading that took place between India and China. This valley has acquired its fame due to its overall splendid look. Its beauty is distinguished from the rest of the valleys that are grounded in Leh. In this valley, the river Shyok meets Siachen river thus forming a large lowland which separates Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. Maitreya Buddha statue is the prominent sight of Nubra Valley which is maintained by the Diskit Monastery. The main access to the Nubra Valley is though Khardung La pass. This road is open throughout the year. This pass is the second highest motorable road in the world standing at an altimeter of 17,582 ft. Stay overnight in this valley and get ready for the next level adventure for the following day.

Day 06: Nubra Valley- Leh

As soon as you are up, get going towards the Capital and do some sightseeing. Its all up to you what you want to do for a day at Leh. You can take a glance at the places you missed on the very first day of the expedition. Sightseeing at Leh has always been fascinating due to its lovely and royal monasteries, palaces and the typical showrooms of the central markets. Stroll through the bazaars and take rest at your hotel room by the time its dusk.

Day 07: Leh- Pangong Lake (14,270 ft)

This day you are going to witness one of the most beautiful and ideal sites of Leh i.e Pangong Lake. This site has been filmed for movies many times and people have even felt awe-struck when they catch the first glimpse of such hypnotized site. The tourists tend to feel lost in the captivating beauty of this Lake that looks bluish green in nature. Pangong lake is situated at an altimeter of 14,270 ft. Day 08: Pangong Lake- Leh

After a great day of sightseeing yesterday, you need to revert from the charismatic Pangong Lake after you freshen up and are done with your meals. Quick start the journey for the day covering about 150 km. The time needed to cover up this distance is about 5 hours to be precise. On your way back, you can visit some of the monuments, for instance, the majestic Thiksey Monastery. As you arrive in the city, head towards your hotel and stay overnight in the warm and cozy room.

Day 09: Leh (11,483 ft)-Sarchu via Tanglang La Pass (17,480 ft)

You need to reach Sarchu which stands at an altitude of 14,100 ft above the sea level. You must finish the day�s trip within 10 hours thus driving about 250 km. On this day you must cross the world�s second largest motorbike pass viz Tanglang La Pass, at an altimeter of 17,480 ft. You are going to witness some of the notified places viz Gata loops having 21 hairpin curves, and 45 km long Pang ground. After you are through Nakee La pass and Lachulung La pass, move ahead and reach pang and then on to infamous Tanglang pass grounded at 17,480 ft. As you get through the valley of Upshi, situated just along the shores of Indus river, you move into Tanglang La pass. Upshi valley provides you with a perfect picture of what a lowland valley should comprise of. There also happens to be a helipad at Upshi and the roads descending towards Sarchu are excellent. As soon as you reach an elevation of 14,100 ft, cherish the landscape of Sarchu.

Day 10: Sarchu- Jispa via Baralacha La Pass

After you are done with your breakfast, proceed towards Jispa which is at an elevation of 10,860 ft above the sea level. The total road trip for the day concludes after the completion of 190 km. From Sarchu you need to drive towards the town of Bharatpur, moving past Baralachala Pass at an altimeter of 16,500 ft. Baralachala Pass is an upland that is situated in between the Himalayan Range and the Pir Panjal range. You need to arrive at 14,010 ft thus reaching Zingzingbar. From Zingzingbar, you need drive over the highroad leading towards Darcha which is a blend of off-road and decent ones. At Darcha you need to take permission from the check post here as this being the very first area of Himachal Pradesh.

Day 11: Jispa (10,860 ft)- Manali via Rohtang Pass (13,060 ft)

Kickstart, your trail from Jispsa post breakfast. The day is going to be among the memorable moments of your life as your trip is going to be filled with a lot of happenings. On this day you need to cover up around 240km moving past Rohtang La pass which is at an elevation of 13,060 ft. You are going to witness some of the most charming valleys of the trip. The roads assembling into the landscape of Manali are broad and brilliant. Descend into the valley of Marhi which stands at an elevated height of 10,800 ft. Keylong (10,100 ft), Tandi (8,430 ft), Sissu (10,270 ft), Kokhsar, Gramphu (10,500 ft), are the settlements which need to be crossed to reach the city of Manali. Overnight stay takes place in a hotel/ guest house.

Day 12: Drop at Airport

The concluding day of this safari ends on today . You are probably going to do some sightseeing in the capital in the former part of the day and head back towards your hometown by the time its evening. This expedition will surely get into your golden memories and you will recall it every time someone talks about an adventure in a life.

    Shop at Government emporiums. Prices are reasonable and quality assured. Himachal Emporium outlets are located at Bilaspur, Chamba, Dharamshala, Mandi, Kullu, Keylong, Reckong Peo, Nahan, Solan, and Shimla. Outside the state, these are at New Delhi, Bangalore and Chandigarh. You can also buy directly from craftsmen located throughout Himachal. But if you plan to carry them overseas, do take a receipt for customs.

    For electrical appliances, check voltage, 220 V is the standard in the state. Socket type-two pin/three pin.,

    Normal banking hours are 10.00 am to 2.00 pm from Monday to Fridays, and 10.00 am to noon on Saturday. Some banks also have eveningcounters but these rarely deal in foreign currency. Banks remain closed on Sunday and gazette holidays.

    ID proofs
