HAMPTA PASS TREK

Overview

Himachal pradesh is considered as one of the beautiful destinations in India as it includes small hill stations , Shimla, Manali, Kullu and many others. There are many adventures that take place within the vicinity of Himachal Pradesh. One of the well-known treks is Hmapta Pass Trek. Dhaulandhar trek, Parvati valley trek, Bhabha pass trek, Beas Kund trek and Kakeri lake trek and many others. Out of which this particular trek is easy and having less gradeint. The maximum altimeter that needs to be attained is 14,100ft above the sea level. THe last leg would be at the place of Chandra Tal. This trek is all about the mesmering villages, glaciers and boulders.

Brief Itinearary
Day 01: Arrive at Manali

As you reach Manali you are going to be headed straight towards the Hotel where you can take rest and have meals. This day is reserved for local sightseeing of Manali. You can stroll through the heartbeat of Manali- Mall Road and purchase a gift of art for your loved ones. You can even wander around the old town and the other sites such as Hadimba Temple, The Great Himalayan National Park, Manu Temple, Manali Sanctuary which are included in the list of attractions. Revert to hotel and stay there overnight.

Day 02 : Manali Jobra (Drive) Jobra to Chika (Trek)

As soon as you are done with the tempting meals in the morning, take comfy drive to the valley of Jobra from Manali. After the completion of one hour drive, you finally reach the landscape of Jobra. You need to cross in all forty hairpin curves to arrive at Jobra and later trudge towards Chika. The trek today commencing from Jobra and end at Chika is easy and having less gradients throughout. As you ascend towrds Chika thus elevated at an altimeter of 10,100 ft you move past Allain Guhugal Hydel Project junction, Rani nallah moving within the meadow and a large grazing field. Overnight stay will be at the campsite in Chika.

Day 03 - Chika (10,100ft) - Balu ka Ghera (11,900ft)

Today you need to acsend upwards from 10,100 ft to 11,900ft thus reaching the sight of Balu ka Ghera. This is another day with an easy trudging up the hill. This trek gets concluded within 5 hours of journey. the whole trek includes the trail with river and Rhododendron trees all over. as soon as the himalayan ranges move out of sight, you are going to catch a glipmse of snow-clad Dhauladhar peak ahead of you. This range of Dhauladhar is also known as White Range due to its snow cladded peaks. As you move past the river you will find yourself near the infamous waterfall within the meadow which us used for the grazing purpose. Reach the charming meadow of Jwara. and later trump to Balu ka Ghera, the desired spot of the day. Overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 04 - Balu ka Gera (11,900ft) Siagoru (12,900ft) and crossing Hampta Pass (14,100ft).

Footslog from Balu ka Ghera to Siagoru and later moving into the landscape of Hampta Pass. This easy trekking from Balu ka Ghera to Hampta Pass gets concluded within 8 hours. On this day you are going to witness the highest elevated spot of this trek and the desired destination too. You need to hike from Balu ka Ghera and reach Siagoru. Once you are at Siagoru, you have to tramp towards the Hampta Village at fist an further to Hampta Pass. the atimeter at which siagoru stands is 12,900 ft and Hampta pass at an elevation of 14,100 ft above the sea level. On ths day you are gong to witness the most charming valleys during the trail from Balu ka Ghera to Hampta Pass. Hampta village, Kullu Valley, Lahul and Spiti Valley are some of the noted sights within the surroundings. As you cross Hampta pass, you will reach the landscape of Siagoru. The tents will be pitched at the Siagoru campsite.

Day 05- Siagoru (12,900ft) Chatru (11,000ft) Drive to Chandra Tal

The whole trek for today needs you to go downhill thus descending into Chatru standing at an altitude of 11,00ft above the sea level. The begins with the crossing of the river and therefore reaching the valley of another river called River Chandra. Starting of the trek is easy and having fine descendings but by the mid of this alipinism it starts getting a bit hard to cover up the steep slopes and slippery inclinations. Be careful while crossing these rocky terrains with no vegetation coming into the sight. To move into the landscpe of Chatru, you have to cross glaciers thus stepping at Chatru that is situated at the other side of the Glaciers.
While you are satisfied with the perfect sceneries and adorable beauty at Chatru, move towrds the other sight for the day, Chandra Tal which is just at a distance of 2 hours from Chatru. Have a comfortable drive to Chandra Tal and stay at this charming valley for the rest of the night. Overnight stay at the campsite placed at Chandra Tal.

Day 06: Chandratal to Manali

This day marks the end of this wondrous trekking from Manali to Hampta Pass and back to Manali. Today you are going to witness the crystal clear lake called as Chandratal Lake also known as Moon Lake due to its moon like shape. Chandra Tal is opened while summer months and if you want to travel through Chandra Tal during Winter season, take the route of Kunzum La. By the evening, drive towards Manali and stay there overnight.

Day 07: Departure from Manali

After you are done Cherish the journey spent all these days within the surroundings of Manali. Fly down to your hometown today with all the memories of this enthralling trip.

    The horses carries only 10kg weight/trekker; be wise with your packing.

    Experience of any high altitude trek at least 1 trek

    · The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45minutes without a stress.
    · The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
    · Heart problem, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.
